WEDDINGS

I’ve been performing professionally for over 10 years and have spent the past 5 years bringing music to weddings & events, creating the perfect atmosphere for so many special days.

I love adapting to each couple’s unique vibe, whether that’s jazzy, laid-back songs as a backdrop (think Nina Simone), romantic classical pieces, or unique and rare traditional folk tunes from Ireland and Scandinavia (a favourite niche of mine!).

I play both a sleek electric white harp and a beautifully warm wooden Celtic harp, so you can choose the style that suits your day best. My setup is super flexible—perfect for both indoor and outdoor spaces—with a portable acoustic amp and microphone for larger or open-air settings. I take pride in adding a touch of magic to your day and am happy to learn songs that hold personal meaning for you!

Get in touch via the enquiry form and I'll be more than happy to answer any questions :)

FAQ's

Can you play Outdoors?

This is absolutely possible yes - and I have done many times although I would need to stay as warm as possible for my hands and the harp. For amplified playing, I have a wonderful sounding acoustic amp that I would need access plugs for. If there's no power available (eg. a woodland ceremony) I can either perform acoustically or with a battery powered amp at an extra cost for rental. I recommend to coordinate with the venue ahead of time to explore possible shade or shelter options. On hot days or if there's a chance of rain, I need to ensure the harp remains properly protected.

Which part of the ceremony can you play for?

All the parts of the ceremony such as the wedding ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast. If your wedding is a little less conventional then I'll be very happy to accommodate this too. Make sure to mention what parts of the ceremony you are looking for in the enquiry form!

Do you do requests?

At nearly every wedding I have crafted bespoke arrangements for my clients from video game soundtracks to a fresh take on Satie. It adds a little bit of magic knowing that the song was arranged just for you and I'm flexible in what I learn! Let me know as early as you can, but even if it's last minute, I'll do my best to make it happen.

What do you need us to provide?

I'll need access to power and some form of shade or shelter if the performance is outdoors. Ideally, there should also be a convenient spot to park or at least unload my car as close as possible to the performance area.

How long do you play for, and can you play people down the aisle?

I play for varying lengths of time depending on which part of the ceremony you are looking for. However, if the time spans more than an hour, I tend to play in 40-45 minute 'sets' to allow for breaks.

How does payment work?

I take £100 deposit to secure the booking, and then 1 week before the ceremony I will ask for the remaining fee.

What do you wear when playing the harp?

I usually wear something low key and smart but if there are particular colour schemes you'd like me to adhere to - I am happy to discuss this with you.

Can you move to different locations on the same day?

Absolutely yes. Depending on the set up and distance to move, it takes roughly 15-25 minutes to set up in a new spot. It is common to move between the Ceremony, Drinks Reception or wedding breakfast.

How far do you travel?

I am based in Bristol & Bath, but I have travelled as far as London to play in the past, and would be happy to travel. Travel fee would be included in the quote.

Do you sing and play the harp? Or just play the harp?

I can do both or either depending on what vibe you want at your wedding!

How much time do you need to set up?

I always aim to arrive 60 minutes before the scheduled performance time to set up, and ensure the harp is in place before guests arrive. If you need a faster turnaround that's fine too - just let me know in advance and I can work around what is possible with your time frames.

How many strings does your harp have?

A commonly asked question!! It has 36 :)

Tell us a bit about yourself outside of work!

Music is a huge part of my life, I also love performing gigs with my personal music and am an avid music producer and composer! I absolutely love to listen to music with a good pair of headphones too. Aside from music I love to read, cycle and do ballet. I love going on hikes with friends and I am also getting into the visual arts more. I love travelling and exploring.
